With the increased use of the credit cards in the recent times there has been a significant rise in the crimes related to the credit card frauds or theft of the identity of the cardholder. Since many of the dealings are taking place electronically the criminals have explored it as a potential area of getting quick and easy money.

In the recent times the criminals used to fake your credit card number and duplicate it to withdraw money from your account. If you are not equipped with card fraud insurance you are denied of accessing your own money and there is now way to get back your hard earned money.

Now days, credit card companies are putting in lots of efforts to protect their customers from any type of frauds and are taking a lot of measures to prevent it and possibly eradicate it from its roots. For that purpose these companies are providing the cards with an additional security code in case of the online transactions. For the cards, one has owned previously these companies are providing with an additional card fraud insurance in which the client is not held responsible for all the dealings he/she has not done. For that the companies are advising their clients, always to ask for the bills for all the transactions the client has done through the card.

Besides these, there are a certain precautions that one should take in order to prevent any card fraud. One should maintain a vigil to check the card statements periodically in order to check for any strange transactions made. If you encounter any strange transactions you should immediately go for an investigation.
